Smiley, your beloved IDF are murderous cowards. They overpower Hamas to such a degree that there is NO need for any civilians to be killed in Gaza.
I compare them to thousands of blooded, well armed, high school bullies, sent off (by their loving mothers) to rid the local pre-school of a pre-school teacher who once disciplined one of those bullies when he was in pre-school. Their orders are to kill anyone who gets in the way. That means all the children, and their parents who come to pick them up.

Hamas rockets are an inconvenience in some parts of Israel- no comparison to the strength of arms of the IDF or to the cruelty of the occupiers prior to this conflict.
Suicide bombers, an only means left to some to retaliate against a bully occupying country, one who is supposed to protect but instead abuses.
Can't believe that Israeli's actually believe they were doing Palestinians favours during occupation, they were wholly destructive, hateful and used their powers to weaken, humiliate, dehumanize, murder young boys throwing stones with sniper rifles, take away land, homes, and hope. . . and so much more.
Smiley, nothing anyone says on this blog will have you face the truth, you simply don't want to see it.

Smiley above wrote that we can never know the ratio of innocent victims and reminded us that "many innocent Israelis" have also died. (There's no ratio here; in Smiley's views all Israeli children must be innocents, where as Palestinian children can qualify as collateral damage.)

Smiley is probably a nice guy, but is just a polished version of the new barbarianism which is leading the land to waste and destruction. If you ask whether I make a moral equivalent with Hizbollah and Brotherhood: you bet I do.

Maybe the people in Gaza should start wearing yellow armbands like the Jewish people did in the Warsaw ghettos,maybe then they would realize what they are doing…if they don’t already know.

As a Israeli abroad: watching Israeli society from afar feels like watching a close friend getting drunk and abusive, and there’s not much you can do to stop it. First the euphoria of war, and then eventually a rude awakening (we are not there yet). I have seen this pattern two years ago, and here it is again. It is extremely frustrating also to notice Haaretz going jingoistic. How can they not see this futility of all this?

Alas, the racism of which you speak goes much further and deeper than that. It's a collective mentality of the West (including the neo-European colonial project some still call 'Israel') to feel nothing but disdain for Arabs and Muslims: 'losers, underachievers, whiners, belligerents, terrorists, troublemakers, backwards no-hopers, underdeveloped, below average IQ' etc etc etc are all terms used to describe an entire group. And low and behold some might have deep sympathy for your People's plight, they too get tarnished with a similar brush. But that tactic is wearing off: hasbara is starting to grind down in the pool of blood it's generating.

I'm convinced Israelis will destroy their own society: they will continue to colonise and will 'concede' nothing. The Palestinian People need to hang in there for dear life and in 10 or 20 years Israel will have moved from de facto Apartheid to de jure Apartheid. Then the world will truly wake up, for it's easy to mobilise it with such a gruesome precedent like SA. Then the Masters will have to learn to live among their former prisoners, democratically and with equal rights. Then, let the majority vote to call it Palestine once again.

My thought are with you and your people. DO NOT LOSE HOPE!

it is obvious that the IDF uses sharp shooters for it ‘collatoral damage’ on babies
